The Sunrise Medical Jay Union pressure cushion is one of the newest cushions to Sunrise's line-up of pressure management surfaces. Although entirely irrelevant to the core function of managing someone's pressure and posture the Jay Union has to be one of the prettiest cushions on the market thanks to the dyed foams and multiple layers and densities on display.

The Jay Union cushion is one of those cushions that should be felt to be appreciated. Consisting of four different densities of foam the Union is designed for the ultimate comfort without forgoing on the need for some positioning control and pressure management. The Jay Union is a hybrid cushion combining foams and gel with a mildly contoured base which produces an excellent all-rounder in the medium risk cushion category.

The top surface of the cushion, seen in blue in the images, is a 1" thick layer of gel-infused foam called MemGel foam which has several functions. Unlike conventional solid visco cushions the MemGel topper increases the immersion of the pelvis and thighs to spread the pressure more evenly while managing heat build more effectively. With large open-cells the MemGel aids in air circulation while the gel within it works to wick away the body heat.

At the rear is an ischial well carved into the base foam layer containing Jay Flow Fluid inserts which are topped with a visco foam ensuring conforming to the body contours and management of high-pressure loadings.  The Jay Union is a simple, no fuss, highly comfortable contender for best cushion in class.

Available in a reduced height version or standard height version the Jay Union comes as standard with the premium fluid-ingress liner and microclimatic breathable outer cushion cover.
