The Sunrise Medical Jay Ion Pressure Cushion is a medium risk entry level cushion from Sunrise designed with the highest comfort achievable for the lowest price. The Jay Ion cushion is made of two layers of foam of different densities - the bottom layer is a rigid foam to provide support while the top layer is a very soft 'memory foam'. 

The base layer of high density foam is anatomically contoured with a 1" difference in height between the sides and lowest part of the pelvic well. This helps encourage the pelvic to sit centrally and with good alignment. Unusually for cushion manufacturers the density of the base foam increases as the width increases so that for the typical person the level of compression is the same despite a likely change in user weight. 

Wrapping around the entire cushion is an ultra-soft four way stretch platilon liner which prevents fluid ingress into the foam. Then for the top surface there is a choice of two outers - a breathable and antimicrobial microclimatic surface, or a wipeable and stretchy second incontinence barrier.
