The Sunrise Medical Jay Lite pressure cushion is designed for the most active wheelchair users who want a functional, ultra-lightweight cushion which is great for transfers and pressure management. The Jay Lite cushion is suitable for clients with no asymmetries and who spend moderate lengths of time sat without repositioning.

The Jay Lite cushion starts from just 670g although the true weight will vary by size. Regardless, the Jay Lite tends to weight up to 50% less than its competitors at this price point and in its class. Manufactured with two layers of foam atop each other the base layer is a high-density rigid foam needed to provide the support requirements while the top layer is of a medium density which is compressible for additional comfort.

The weight saving is in part thanks to its honeycomb-type design of removing unnecessary foam without affecting the cushion stability or longevity. The holes not only serve to reduce the overall weight but also ensure excellent breathability and aid in the management of temperatures and moisture, especially on hot summer days. Due to the weight of gel there is none - instead the ischial well contains a third density of foam to provide the pressure management for the IT's.

Covering the cushion is a microclimatic outer cover which also serves to provide additional padding and comfort. This cover is made from Sunrise's 3DX spacer fabric and is also lightweight and durable.
