The Sunrise Medical J2 (Jay 2) pressure cushion is probably the most well known and loved cushion from Sunrise. Thanks to its simple but effective design the Jay 2 cushion provides high risk pressure management and effective positioning control. Recognisable by its large gel sac that extends from the ischial well underneath the thighs to the front of the cushion the Jay 2 is suitable for high and very high risk applications.

Constructed from a closed-cell foam the J2 cushion is designed to be easily modified both in the factory and out in the field depending on the need. The default foam is a medium density lightweight foam with mild contouring across the top surface and a moderately deep ischial well to contain the gel sacs.

The fluid sacs, known as the Jay Flow Fluid Tripad, conforms to an individuals shape, adjusts to different sitting positions and ensures proper fluid placement beneath bony prominences. It is a zero maintenance design which means nothing needs doing to retain its excellent pressure management qualities.

As per all Sunrise Medical cushions there is a choice of outer cover between the antimicrobial breathable outer or the inco-protected wipeable cover which is fluid resistance. Regardless of which outer cover is chosen a fluid resistant platilon liner will be fitted ensuring the integrity of the foam is maintained throughout the lifetime of the cushion.
