The Invacare Propad Revolve Silicon (Si) cushion is one of three widely recognised cushions utilised in community settings. The Propad Revolve Si is joined by the Propad Original and Propad Visco. All three cushions provide good pressure management outcomes but which is prescribed typically depends on the risk level identified.

The Propad Revolve Si is rated as a 'very high risk' cushion making it a good choice for many applications. The cushion is constructed of two layers of durable and resilient foam on the top and bottom with a silicon insert fluid pack in between. The embedded medical grade non-temperature sensitive silicon envelops bony prominences such as the ischial tuberosities (bum bones - sitting bones). Good envelopment by the silicon gel provides a very good pressure relieving surface alongside offering a comfortable and stable seated surface.

The Propad Revolve Si is typically prescribed by us into nursing and residential homes where we have identified clients as being at increased risk of pressure ulceration due to their underlying illness or disability, or where they have scored as high risk on a pressure risk assessment. The Propad Si cushion is effective either way up (ie it has no top or bottom) which makes it very easy for care teams to swap across from one chair to another. The dartex outer cover is fluid resistant and easily wipeable if required.

The Propad Silicon is one of the best value pressure cushions available in its class hence its wide adoption into the NHS nationwide. We usually have a Propad Silicon or Visco here for demonstration. If you'd like to learn more or to see if for yourself please get in touch.

This is a product sold on prescription and is available in many different configurations. Getting this right for you or your client is of great importance to us and as such we offer free assessments and demonstrations.

Our assessments scale in complexity depending on the clinical requirements and can be conducted over the telephone for low complexity equipment or more typically here in the assessment suite or at your residence.

All assessments are currently free to both private and NHS clients for equipment with values over £150 ex VAT.
