The Invacare Matrx Flotech Lite Pressure Cushion is a mildly contoured and mildly castellated cushion rated for low risk applications. The Flotech Lite cushion is available in various sizes and is suitable for use in wheelchairs and powerchairs.

The Flotech Lite Cushion is a postural support device made of moulded foam which ensures good contact area with the body providing a comfortable seating surface. The cushion is thinner than a typical cushion at just 78mm and is available in 78 different sizes.

The mild contouring provides some prompting to ensure good alignment of the pelvis and helps to position clients correctly following a hoisted transfer. The cushion is available in both a breathable 'aero' outer fabric or a wipeable inco-protected Dartex for easy cleaning.

Matrx Flotech Lite cushions are often prescribed for people who require little postural management but who need a simple, safe and comfortable cushion for everyday use. Due to the thickness of the cushion the Flotech Lite is usually prescribed for children or adults with a low body mass or where a shallow cushion is helpful for transfers or foot propelling. The low risk rating of the foam means the cushion should only be prescribed for clients with a low pressure risk score and for those who won't be sat for extended periods.

The value in this cushion comes from the long warranty offered on the foam and the high quality outer material. We would recommend however comparing this cushion to visco-elastic version such as the Matrx Flotech Lite Visco which provides a softer foam and better pressure management qualities for a couple of pounds extra.
