The Invacare Matrx Flotech Contour Visco Pressure Cushion is a mildly contoured cushion rated for high risk and elevated risk applications. The Flotech Contour cushion is available in various sizes and is suitable for use in wheelchairs and powerchairs.

The Flotech Contour Visco Cushion is a postural support device made of visco-elastic foam (sometimes referred to as memory foam) which ensures good contact area with the body providing good pressure risk management. The cushion provides good immersion, which increases as the heat of the body warms the foam. Good immersion properties is usually associated with feelings of comfort and support.

The mild contouring provides some prompting to ensure good alignment of the pelvis and helps to position clients correctly following a hoisted transfer. The cushion is available in both a breathable 'aero' outer fabric or a wipeable inco-protected Dartex for easy cleaning.

Matrx Flotech Contour Visco cushions are often prescribed for people who require little postural management but who need a simple, safe and comfortable cushion for everyday use. The Contour Visco cushions are also good value for money given their high risk status. Similar cushions worth considering are the Propad Revolve Si and Visco which provide a flat surface for easier standing transfers.

We typically have a Propad or Contour Visco cushion available for demonstration or trial. If you'd like to give it a try, or think it may be suitable for a client of yours, please get in touch with your requirements.

This is a product sold on prescription and is available in many different configurations. Getting this right for you or your client is of great importance to us and as such we offer free assessments and demonstrations.

Our assessments scale in complexity depending on the clinical requirements and can be conducted over the telephone for low complexity equipment or more typically here in the assessment suite or at your residence.

All assessments are currently free to both private and NHS clients for equipment with values over £150 ex VAT.
